RESTYLANE SCOTTSDALE TREATMENTS
Restylane is a hyaluronic acid-based facial filler that adds fullness to your skin to help smooth wrinkles and bring back a more youthful complexion. This dermal filler is typically used in cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds, and around your mouth. Source of Health Scottsdale proudly offers the four following types of Restylane treatments:

WHAT IS RESTYLANE?
Restylane is a hyaluronic acid based dermal filler treatment done at our Scottsdale practice. This natural cosmetic dermal filler plumps up and corrects moderate to severe wrinkles, lines, folds, and creases in the face. This dermal filler is a safe and effective procedure that delivers instant and long-lasting results.
HOW DOES RESTYLANE WORK?
Restylane is a cosmetic treatment known as Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers. This treatment is used to improve the signs of aging and improve facial contours, mainly around the cheeks, lips, and mouth.
This dermal filler works by adding volume to select facial tissues, through its active ingredient, hyaluronic acid. Your body already produces hyaluronic acid as it’s a natural substance found in the body that stimulates the production of the connective tissue known for plumping the skin (collagen). As we all get older, the natural production of collagen and hyaluronic acid decreases. This reduction is also why the appearance of aging, sagging, and wrinkling of the facial skin happens.
During your procedure, our doctor or nurse will use a pen to mark the areas that will be treated. Our doctor or nurse will then inject the filler into the targeted area that has been marked. They will then lightly massage the area to ensure that it is evenly distributed, reducing the chance of swelling. The entire procedure typically lasts between 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
This filler plumps and fills tissue that has lost volume such as tissues found in temples, cheeks, lips, chin, and jaw. It comes in various levels from soft to firm depending on the desired placement and effects.
Yes. Restylane is recognized as one of the most natural and least invasive fillers among other cosmetic procedures. If you have any personal concerns, please contact us and we will be happy to help!
This is one of the most common questions we are asked, how long do fillers last? Every person is different. Typically these products can last anywhere from 6 months to just over a year. Your first treatment will determine your body’s ability to hold a filler as everyone’s individual metabolisms and lifestyles can speed up the breakdown of the product used. Best practice for use of fillers is to check-in at about halfway through the expected timeframe. At that visit, we determine just for you whether to add a little more or wait longer. Dermal Fillers are used in conjunction with a total skincare program. Holistic Functional Medicine with nutrition, hormone balancing, and lifestyle modifications can extend the life of your treatments.
To ensure the best possible results after your injection, it is advised that you:
-Avoid tanning beds, excessive sun exposure, and extreme temperatures for at least a week.
-Refrain from using NSAIDs, herbal supplements, and large doses of Vitamin E.
-Be cautious with makeup application and avoid applying it to the injection site for a few days to minimize the risk of infection.
