REGENERATIVE MEDICINE AT SOURCE OF HEALTH

Allowing the body to fuel and supply its own recovery gives us permission to heal better by using less invasive procedures, ultimately saving you the pain and emotional stress of hurting your body further. Empowering the human body to naturally grow and repair itself proves that regeneration is not only possible, but is becoming the new standard model of health treatment.

REGENERATIVE MEDICINE

TREATMENTS AT SOURCE OF HEALTH

Using a total body and systems approach, where health is optimized down to the cellular level, we have the opportunity to treat current health concerns, as well as long term health issues.

STEM CELL TREATMENTS

Now better known as Medicinal Signaling Cells (MSCs), these cells direct the proper course of healing and regeneration of tissue. To be considered a “stem cell” treatment, these cells must be obtained from your fat (adipose) tissue or bone marrow. Typically, this is a one time treatment into an area, often after a round of PRP to prep the area for the MSC injection.

GROWTH FACTORS & PRP INJECTIONS

The cell signals direct healing, so when we want to achieve new growth, it makes sense to use these small peptides that are released by key cells in the healing process, most notably from MSCs. Extracellular Vesicles (EV), also known as exosomes, are very small particles (approximately 10x smaller than any virus) that can directly turn off inflammation while turning on healing and recovery within the cell.

A concentrated solution of platelets from your blood, PRP Therapy is necessary for moderate to severe degenerative conditions. One of the platelet’s functions is to signal the growth of new blood vessels to an area, which in turn improves healing. The other is to naturally attract resident stem cells to the tissue that is hurt.

Prolo Ozone Icon

PROLOTHERAPY & OZONE TREATMENTS

The original regenerative medicine technique from the mid 1900’s is still designed to stimulate the production of collagen and tighten loose/unstable joints by injecting an irritant, such as concentrated dextrose.

Ozone (O3), a potent reactive oxygen molecule, is able to stimulate healing, is antimicrobial, and promotes blood flow. Ozone can be combined with prolotherapy, also know as prolozone, or infused into an IV bag with the patient’s own blood (called MAH) and dripped back for antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal therapeutic benefits.

Nerve Hydro Icon

NERVE HYDRO DISSECTION

Nerve pathways experiencing pain are located in tissues, which benefit from ultrasound guided injections that release pain. These paths are created to free up an adhesion or fibrotic tissue that is compressing a nerve. This is done simply with a very inexpensive solution of sugar water for certain conditions where there is inflammation and scarring MSC growth factors.

Cupping Icon

CUPPING, ACUPUNCTURE, ADJUSTMENTS

Physiotherapy differs from physical therapy. These tools help to mobilize soft tissue and fascia to encourage optimal range of motion. For people who are in pain, moving themselves is extremely difficult. These therapies can stand alone for maintaining great health or combined around regenerative injection and functional medicine therapies for even greater results.

ED Icon

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION TREATMENT - PRP SHOT & ACOUSTIC SHOCKWAVE

Regenerative medicine can be extremely useful for women and men who have loss of libido and erectile dysfunction. PRP from a patient’s own blood is prepared, the area is numbed well, then a few injections are done into the genital tissue.

The acoustic shock wave is a safe and completely non-invasive tool that stimulates increased collagen synthesis, blood vessels, and nerve endings. It is a 15 minute pain free procedure. This is also done for cellulite reduction on thighs and buttocks, and also used in physiotherapy for tendonitis and plantar fasciitis.

THE PURPOSE OF REGENERATIVE MEDICINE

Regenerative medicine creates the conditions for healing, growth and repair of tissue that is damaged or in pain. Common injuries, from wear and tear, to even accidents, can stimulate the body’s unique ability to signal cells to heal and produce new collagen, blood flow, nerve endings, etc.

THE DIAGNOSTIC APPROACH

Through a proper history, physical exam, and potentially imaging, your doctor can determine precisely where the pain is coming from and what to do about it non-surgically, without medications or side effects.

THE EXPERIENCE AT SOURCE OF HEALTH

Typically more than one treatment is needed in order to feel better, and through the use of ultrasound guided injections, precision and accuracy go up significantly as pain resolution is achieved. Regenerative medicine procedures are conducted in a clean, outpatient facility. Local anesthesia is used for patient comfort, as well as to ensure that the pain is removed by the end of the visit. The healing and resolution of pain is the ultimate goal.

THE BENEFITS OF REGENERATIVE MEDICINE

Unlike common practice, healing with regenerative medicines means no drugs or surgery. It means minimal recovery downtime. Regenerative medicine treats underlying causes of pain instead of masking it, which can create a wave of other issues if the root cause hasn’t been addressed. Best of all, your tissues won’t have to be removed or replaced, and instead they can be repaired all on their own.

FUNCTIONAL AND NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE

COMMON QUESTIONS

  1. When will I know if my regenerative procedure has worked?

Pain is an important parameter when it comes to improvements. Stability takes time when it comes to musculoskeletal work. We typically recommend a 90 day period for initial transformation. Subsequent treatments are often needed for more serious conditions and multiple joint cases.

  2. How do I make the most out of my regenerative injection procedure?

Proper planning is key! When we take on a patient for regenerative medicine, we do our homework to ensure that your body is ready to handle the treatment so it can respond accordingly. Expect to get blood work within 1-2 months prior to procedure. If not cleared right away, a functional medicine protocol will help build up the body first.

Post-care is very important for optimizing results. Sedentary people must learn how to move again and very active people need to adjust the way in which they move. Movement medicine is often accompanied within your treatment program to ensure the greatest outcomes. Our doctor of physical therapy is an olympic level therapist trained in functional movement patterns, ergonomics, and rehabilitation.

  3. Is it covered by insurance?

Some elements of a procedure may be covered, especially because of the use of ultrasound-guided injections; but currently they are not widely covered services by insurance companies.

  4. How much does xxxx cost?

A consultation with the doctor is the best way to determine your candidacy for the procedure(s) in mind. We value the patient-centered approach in medicine and customize a program specific to meet your needs. Price quotes are not given online or by phone.
