ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION TREATMENT AT SOURCE OF HEALTH

Men experience on average a 10% increase with every decade of life. This means 50% of men in the 50s have erectile dysfunction to some degree. While the little blue pill may remedy the situation in the moment, it is certainly not treating the cause.

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION DIAGNOSTICS

We understand the mechanisms of erectile dysfunction vary from person to person- and that is why we take a deep dive into diagnostics to ensure we are treating the problem at the source. Hormones, blood pressure, blood sugar problems (pre-diabetes and diabetes), mood disorders, and nerve problems are some of the top causes and treating each one takes a holistic viewpoint. We also have special prescription peptides to help with erections, one called PT-141 works exceptionally well with little to no side effects besides improved erections. The little blue pill can give many men headaches or racing hearts and this is usually a sign that the treatment should stop and alternative courses should be considered like PRP shots or acoustic shockwave therapy.

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION TREATMENT

The PRP Shot is a powerful medicine made from your own blood platelets. PRP contains growth factors that, as the name states, makes things grow. Collagen, blood vessels, and nerve endings are all stimulated to grow from PRP giving rise to a simple, yet effective therapy. Combining the PRP treatment with a series of acoustic soundwave treatments called shockwave therapy, the penis rejuvenates over the course of a few months. By creating a custom plan for the individual, a more profound response is observed.

COMMON QUESTIONS

  1. How many sessions are needed for erectile dysfunction treatment?
Typically 3 treatments every 4-6 weeks with PRP is recommended. Acoustic Shockwave Therapy is done weekly for up to 6 treatments in a series. 6 treatments are typically required for first time patients.
  2. How should I prepare for my PRP Shot?
Discontinuing medications that thin blood prior to treatments will be discussed at your consultation with the doctor. This prevents bruising and inactivating the platelets. Manscaping - using a guarded trimmer, removal of pubic hair makes the entire process much more convenient and less messy.
  3. Will the PRP shot hurt?
Typically no. We use a local numbing cream applied directly to the penis for about 20-30 minutes and then an extra dose of lidocaine is placed just under the skin to numb any remaining sensation for about an hour. Most men feel a sense of pressure within the shaft and tip.
  4. Should I use a penis pump?
Yes, it is typically recommended to use a pump for at least 5 minutes a day during the treatment process. Think of this like exercising the penis to grow and develop.
  5. Does the PRP shot increase the size of my penis?
Men can notice a small increase in length but girth is typically noticed more. Since PRP improves the structure of the penis and improves blood flow, most men are very satisfied with these outcomes. It is important to note that this is a side effect of the treatment and not a goal.
